Ossining Veterans Will Be Honored Today With Livestreamed Virtual Ceremony

937

The Town and Village of Ossining are observing Veterans Day today with a ceremony, hosted by the Ossining Centralized Committee of Organized War Veterans, led by Honorable Michael G. Connor. Due to COVID-19 the public has not been invited to participate in this year’s ceremony. The Governor’s Executive Orders limit the number of people permitted to gather, even for traditional events.

Veterans Day is an important holiday and we felt it was important for the public to have a chance to participate. Today’s ceremony will be livestreamed and shared on the Town and Village Facebook Pages starting at 11:00 a.m.

To view today’s ceremony, please visit here.

Please also be reminded that all Town and Village offices are closed today in observance of Veterans Day.

Thank you to our Veterans, military spouses, and military families. Though we are unable to all gather together in person today, we are proud to share this moment of reverence with you.

Happy Veterans Day!

Sincerely,

Town of Ossining Supervisor Dana Levenberg, Deputy Supervisor Jackie Shaw, and Councilmembers Elizabeth Feldman, Gregory Meyer, and Northern Wilcher, Jr.

Village of Ossining Mayor Victoria Gearity, Deputy Mayor Rika Levin, and Trustees Robert Fritsche, Omar Lopez, and Manuel Quezada
