Thirty miles north of New York City in Ossining, NY stands Sing Sing’s 1936 Powerhouse, which once provided electricity for Sing Sing Sing, which will be converted to a museum and exhibit space.
The 1936 Powerhouse was a state of the art coal burning plant and is an excellent example of the Moderne Art Deco style.
The Powerhouse is located on Sing Sing Correctional Facility property just outside of the security perimeter wall.
