Warren Franklin Heffner Passes At 71

Warren Franklin Heffner of Ossining, NY passed away peacefully at Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on March 15, 2018. He was born on April 12, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to the late James and Ethel (Spector) Heffner. He is survived by his wife, Johann, and his brother Stephen. He is also survived by his niece Wendy (Sylvie), nephews Neil (Ingrid), Michael (Susan), his uncle Nat Spector, aunt Toby Spector; cousins Arthur, David and Billy Spector, Robin Hutnik, Rita Hohauser, Diane Carlin and many more cousins, nieces and nephews. He is a graduate of Erasmus Hall High School and studied at Brooklyn College.

Warren was a creative, loving person with a wonderful sense of humor. He excelled in sports: skiing, racket ball, tennis and golf. He loved photography and graphic design. He began his career as a writer and photographer. He had a freelance assignment as a photographer for the NY Rangers Hockey Team Yearbook. One of his landscape photographs was included in a national art exhibit.

Warren established his own design firm, Heffner Graphics, Inc., where he focused on logo development, advertising and media placement for over 30 years. Among his achievements was the promotion of the Bay Street Landing complex in Staten Island, NY. His clients included the real estate firms of the Edward S. Gordon Company and Cushman & Wakefield.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 2. Visitation will begin at 11am followed by a memorial service at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
