The last month has been steady for us on the Northside. Members continue to train on our new engine and familiarize themselves with its operations and equipment layout. Company Members also attended a CPR/AED Class administered by our friends at OVAC going over the basics on our new AED that we now carry.
This time of year brings annual testing for some of our equipment as well. Annual hose testing & ground ladder testing was completed in the past few days ensuring everything is ready to serve you. As we posted last month, our Seagrave has left us and is in its new home in Pennsylvania. “The Park” continues to train with her and are enjoying the new “Squad 8”. We will continue to bring to you updated info on her transformation to serve her new community.
We are always looking for new members to join our family here at OHC. If anyone has an interest in joining, please message us and find out how! Free Training, and a new extended family awaits you. Dedication to serving our community and continue our tradition at Ossining Hose pushes us into the last few months of the year where we are hopefully looking for a brighter 2021.
Remember, you must be atleast 18 years old to join. If you have teenagers interested in the fire service, our venturing crew is always looking for new members as well. For them please check out the Ossining Venturing Crew 2470 page for further info.
Be safe All!
