Eva Barchyshyn of Ossining and formerly of Yonkers, passed away Tues. Dec. 18, 2018, at the age of 97.
Eva was born in Yonkers, Mar. 21, 1921 to Constantine & Mary (Hubiak) Gibby. She attended school in Yonkers. Eva, married John Barchyshyn on Nov. 20, 1943 at St. Michael Ukranian Catholic Church. Her husband John, predeceased her on Dec. 21, 2000.
Eva is survived by her daughter Joan Zabonik; and her two grandchildren Kerry and Eddie. She was predeceased by her brothers John and Peter Gibby and her sister Julia Brophy.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday (today) from 03:00 – 07:00 p.m. at Dorsey. The funeral service will be Friday at 09:45 a.m. at Dorsey. The interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings.
