Muranelli, Anthony -Passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, the soul of Anthony Muranelli Jr. left us to be with his father, and namesake, Anthony P. Muranelli; his brother Thomas J. Muranelli; and many others in Heaven.
Anthony will be missed by his loving mother, Irene, his brothers Jimmy (Sharon), Peter (Vickie), Dennis (Marlene) and Bobby, along with his sisters Rosemarie, Clare (Tom) and Irene (Michael). He will also be missed by his eighteen nieces and nephews, three great-nieces, one great-nephew and hundreds of friends and students whose lives he undeniably impacted.
Anthony graduated Mount St. Michael Academy in the Bronx, Marist College in Poughkeepsie, Wheeling College in West Virginia and Notre Dame in Indiana. For over 40 years, he taught in both Massachusetts and New York, as well as serving as a Marist Brother for fifteen years. At Briarcliff High School, where Anthony most recently taught, he held the roles of Department Coordinator for foreign languages and he served as the Teachers’ Union President. Anthony felt his greatest accomplishment was his students. They were what made Anthony most proud.
In addition to his passion for teaching, Anthony’s greatest loves were his family, his cats, music, the Yankees and, of course, the New England Patriots.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church, 1394 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Ossining
