Ossining police say they have caught the person responsible for the village’s first homicide since 2015.
Police say they arrested 18-year-old Andrew Knight, of Ossining, in the Bronx and charged him with second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Gregory Jackson Jr.
Jackson Jr., 21, was stabbed in the chest with a steak knife on February 1, 2019 and succumbed to his injuries days later.
His funeral is scheduled for Friday at the House of Refuge in Ossining.
Police say there is no indication that Knight has a criminal history. He will be arraigned Friday morning.
