James J. Gallery, Jr. (Popsie), 82 of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Ossining, NY, passed away on March 23rd, 2018. He was born November 18, 1935, to James J. and Lila Gallery.
He was a graduate of Ossining High School and served in the National Guard from 1954 to 1963. He was a member of the Ossining Fire Dept., Ladder 42, for 63 years and was a Ex Forman. He worked for Turner Electric as a Master Electrician then went on to open up his own Electrical Business on Croton Avenue, Birchbrook Electric, until moving to Florida in 1988.
He is survived by his devoted wife Diane. They would have been married 60 years April 6, 2018. He is also survived by his loving children Colleen Lonergan (George), James (Maureen), Kevin, Brian (Lisa) and Scott (Christine); 8 Grandchildren Ryan, Tara, Kelley-Anne, JR, Tyler, Tommy, Caden and Nickilas; 1 Great Grandchild RJ; and his brother Michael Lally. He is predeceased by both sisters Irene and June.
Reposing on Tuesday 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home, Funeral Mass Wednesday at 10:00 a.m at St. Augustine’s Church, Ossining. Private Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ossining Fire Department would be appreciated.
