New York State Police troopers on patrol on Sunday, Sept. 30 stopped Ossining resident Fausto Tello Cabrera, 30, on Route 35 in Somers when he committed a vehicle and traffic violation in the area.
Police said that while speaking with Cabrera, they determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He also had a child under the age of 8 inside the car, who was not strapped in with a seatbelt or safety device.
Cabrera was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, a felony, and a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was released following his arraignment and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer the charges.
