Ossining CTC is a coalition of concerned individuals and diverse community organizations who pledge to:

Come together to secure the long-term health and well-being of Ossining youth and their families

Assist our community—especially parents and young people—by providing education, resources, and services for substance-abuse response and prevention

Reduce the use of alcohol and drugs in Ossining and prevent underage drinking

Esteem the accomplishments of our young people and support them in making smart choices

We are comprised of people from law enforcement, local and county government, schools, healthcare, business, parents, youth, youth-serving organizations, faith-based and civic groups, and substance-abuse prevention agencies.

Education and support services, through seminars, training programs, workshops, and media campaigns, reach out to Ossining parents, our middle school and high school students, our educators and administrators, our local alcohol retailers, as well as health service providers in both the public and private sectors.

Working collaboratively since 2004, we have energetically pursued the education of Ossining community members, creating awareness of the risks and problems that arise from substance abuse, and offering resources that draw our residents into the spectrum of prevent/intervene/treat/recover. We believe that every individual in our community can play a role in keeping our youth safe, strong, and thriving.

Ossining CTC has brought more than a million and a half dollars of prevention-focused funding to the community through current and previous grant awards. Presently funded by its second four-year STOP Act grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), it will receive a total $200,000 through 2020 to prevent underage drinking. CTC completed a full ten-year cycle of funding from SAMHSA as a Drug Free Community, receiving a total of $1,125,000 for prevention funding between 2004 and 2015 and joining the ranks of only about 600 communities nationwide to qualify for this funding in each cycle. Additionally, a Westchester County Grant sustained the organization with a generous funding of $50,000 in 2010, and the Elks, Lions, and direct donations of Ossining residents have made possible the critical youth programs that have in recent years kept up our momentum in reducing substance use by our teens.

Ossining CTC holds quarterly meetings at the Ossining Public Library. We welcome all offers to participate in our coalition, and to strengthen our collective voice through your service and support.
